ESPN writer and pundit Julien Laurens is clearly disappointed with one Chelsea player right now.
Moises Caicedo was one of the top midfielders in the Premier League last season, hence why Chelsea decided to pay £115m (Sky Sports) for him in the summer transfer window.
However, Laurens, speaking on ESPN, feels he should be doing so much more for Mauricio Pochettino‘s team.
Caicedo has been heavily criticised for his form since arriving at Chelsea, with Graeme Souness recently calling out both the 22-year-old and his midfield partner Enzo Fernandez.
Whatever the case, Caicedo has still been an important player for Pochettino this term, making 28 appearances in all competitions.

Moises Caicedo should be doing more
Gabriel Marcotti started the conversation on Caicedo by saying: “On the show last night, Stevie said as a coach you can tell the players what to do, but then it’s the players who might decide not to do it on the pitch and once they’re on the pitch they’re out of your control. And I said yeah but here’s the thing, we saw Moises Caicedo follow those instructions.”
Laurens then replied: “He’s capable of much more than that.”

Chelsea as a whole should be doing more
Caicedo is not the only player at Chelsea who needs to raise his game. The whole team need to improve.
The Blues are currently in the bottom half of the Premier League table and that cannot be put down to a single individual.
The problem for Caicedo, though, is he cost £115m. He is the most expensive player in English football history.
All eyes will continue to be on the Ecuadorian and he is the one who is going to be scrutinised most, alongside Fernandez, who cost similar money.
It may seem a bit unfair. The former Brighton man is still just 22 and did not choose his price tag, but that is how it goes unfortunately for him.
