Reported Chelsea target Florian Wirtz really impressed for Germany in their game against France last night.
Julian Nagelsmann’s men beat the 2018 World Cup winners 2-0, with Florian Wirtz scoring not even 10 seconds into the game.
It was a thunderous strike from the 20-year-old, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea.
Back in November, the Daily Star claimed that the Blues, Liverpool and Bayern Munich were just a few clubs queuing up to sign Wirtz.
Based on how Chelsea fans reacted to his performance against France, it is fair to say that he would be a welcome addition at Stamford Bridge.
“Wirtz is unreal,” one Chelsea supporter took to X to say. “Wirtz is a star,” another posted.

Wirtz has been in sensational form for Bayer Leverkusen this season, scoring seven goals and providing 10 assists in 26 league appearances to help Xabi Alonso’s side remain at the top of the Bundesliga.

You will probably not find a better hit shot this season. Maybe that is one of things that Mauricio Pochettino‘s side have lacked in the current campaign, someone who can score a goal from absolutely nothing.
Overall, Wirtz just looks like the real deal, with Gary Lineker convinced that he will be one to watch at the Euros this summer.
Will Chelsea be able to lure a player of Wirtz’s quality to Stamford Bridge, though? The club are obviously not in a good place right now.
They are 11th in the Premier League table and have no chance of qualifying for the Champions League.
If Pochettino wants to sign a new attacking midfielder, however, then the club at least have to try. Wirtz is worth the time and effort if the Argentine is eager to strengthen in that area of the pitch.
