Mauricio Pochettino will be desperately looking for a response from his Chelsea side tonight when they play against Leeds United at Stamford Bridge.
All eyes will be on Chelsea on Wednesday night when they host Championship club Leeds in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
The Blues need to quickly lick their wounds after Sunday’s defeat to Liverpool in the League Cup final, which has received a lot of backlash and criticism.
Chelsea fans on social media want to see changes to the line-up in midweek. For instance, plenty of supporters have urged head coach Mauricio Pochettino to recall Mykhailo Mudryk to the starting XI versus Leeds.
Mudryk, 23, has slipped down the pecking order recently and hasn’t started many games in 2024.
The Chelsea winger came on as a substitute for extra-time of Sunday’s cup final loss. Speaking via talkSPORT this week, Darren Bent said Mudryk “showed absolutely nothing” against Liverpool.
He’s only got four goals and three assists across all competitions during a frustrating season so far.
