Mauricio Pochettino has now shared what kind of conversations he has had with the Chelsea owners in recent months.

He shared in his pre-match press conference that chats have been limited between himself and the likes of Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali recently.

Pochettino finds himself under immense pressure to deliver European football at the end of the season.

Chelsea miss Palmer bad

Their attempts at that took quite a big hit in the week when they were defeated 5-0 by Arsenal in the Premier League, showing their attacking creativity is very limited without Cole Palmer.

The 21-year-old is expected to return to the squad at the weekend against Aston Villa, with him clearly being the key to them getting results right now.

However, with him coming back it seems a number of other first team players will be missing. The latest injury report sees the Blues without 12 first team players.

With the manager’s position at the club looking precarious, all eyes are on those above as to what will happen likely at the end of this season.

Mauricio Pochettino not talking to Chelsea owners

Pochettino claimed today that he has not actually had much contact with Boehly and Eghbali recently, instead seeing those conversations go through the sporting director at the club.

He said: “To be honest, in the last few months we didn’t cross. We communicate through the sporting directors. My views and feelings have not changed despite not crossing paths.”

It was reported yesterday that despite often being cited as the man in charge at Stamford Bridge, Boehly will not actually be tasked with making the decision over the Argentine’s future.

Instead, it will be down to the sporting directors and Eghbali to have the final say, although not qualifying for Europe would leave it unlikely that he carries on.
