Chelsea were beaten 1-0 by Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley earlier.
Gary Neville, though, still thinks a couple of Chelsea players did well, including Conor Gallagher.
Gallagher missed a few good chances in the second half, but Neville, who was commentating on the game for Sky Sports (25/02/2024 at 16:57), thought the midfielder was still “very good”, especially compared to Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.
The former Manchester United defender also thought Nicolas Jackson did well against Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate despite not being able to grab a goal.
In the end, though, neither Gallagher nor Jackson were able to prevent Chelsea from losing yet another cup final.

Gary Neville thought Conor Gallagher played well versus Liverpool
He was on the losing side, but Neville thought Gallagher actually had a good game at Wembley today.
On the 24-year-old, the United legend said: “He’s been very good. He’s been better than the two behind him who have cost £100 million each.”

Conor Gallagher has been good overall this season
Perhaps Gallagher could have done better with one or two chances that he got today.
Coming through at Chelsea, that defeat would have hurt him more than some of his team-mates, especially considering that he could have won Mauricio Pochettino‘s team the game.
From the season as a whole, though, the Englishman can certainly take many positives away come May.
Gallagher has been one of the better players in this failing Chelsea team. On WhoScored, only Cole Palmer has a higher rating than him.
While this is a Chelsea side who are failing in the Premier League and have just lost the Carabao Cup final, they are still in the FA Cup.
Hopefully Gallagher and his team-mates can go one step further in that, with Leeds United the next obstacle they have to overcome.
They welcome the Championship side to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, which now looks like a must-win game for Pochettino. Lose that, and you really would have to start fearing for his future in west London.
