Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim appears to be one manager who could replace Mauricio Pochettino if he leaves Chelsea.
Mauricio Pochettino is under pressure right now following Chelsea‘s 1-0 loss to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final last weekend.
After the Blues’ 3-2 win against Leeds United in the FA Cup, he looks safe for the time being. However, according to Sports Zone, the club are interested in Ruben Amorim and his agents are keen to take him to a big English club this summer.
Interest in Amorim is no surprise, with the 39-year-old doing so well with Sporting this season.
They are challenging Benfica for the championship in what is proving to be an exciting title race in Portugal.
Ruben Amorim’s agents pushing for Premier League move
It is not impossible that Amorim ends up in England in the summer. Chelsea appear to have an interest in the Sporting boss, while other Premier League clubs may also fancy bringing him in.
We already know that Liverpool will need a new manager with Jurgen Klopp stepping down at the end of the season.

INEOS have now taken over all football operations at Manchester United, so there is always the possibility of them wanting to head in a new direction and getting rid of Erik ten Hag, who has not had the smoothest campaign at Old Trafford.
For now, though, Pochettino and Ten Hag remain in jobs. Amorim, whose work at Sporting has been described as “incredible” by Mikel Arteta, is proving to be quite a talented coach.
However, if he wants the Chelsea gig, he may have to wait a bit longer. Pochettino is still hanging on and may get away with what has been a terrible Premier League campaign if he can collect the FA Cup at the end of the season. The Blues are one game away from the semi-finals.
