Who are this year’s breakout stars?

Melinda Willis, Bronte Schofield and Janelle Han are three names fans won’t be forgetting anytime soon.

The controversial trio, who are all fond of cosmetic procedures and are not afraid of confrontation, are set to bring plenty of drama.

As for the grooms, hunky builder Harrison Boon, marketing guru Dan Hunjas, voice over artist Ollie Skelton and CEO Layton Mills and are the standouts of the season.

Famous friends and exes

To the surprise of no one, many of the new fame hungry cast members are connected to famous reality stars.

Most notably, Melinda was in a relationship with former Bachelorette hunk Darvid Garayeli.

The pair are understood to have dated for several months before going their separate ways.

Melinda is also close friends with MAFS alumni KC Osborne, Jason Engler, and follows both on Instagram.

Explosive fights and feuds

Daily Mail Australia can reveal there are plenty of explosive fights and rivalries this year.

Fashion and beauty CEO Melinda is a force not to be reckoned with and clashes with several of her co-stars throughout the season.

Melinda is at the centre of several dinner party showdowns with several co-stars, including rival Harrison Boon.

Melinda also has a falling out with grooms Dan Hunjas and Adam Seed.

‘Melinda will go down in history as one of the most outspoken brides who has ever appeared on the series,’ an on-set source revealed.

The reason for her feuds is unknown, but battle lines have been firmly drawn with about half the cast siding with Melinda and the other loyal to Harrison.

Daily Mail Australia understands their beef remains ongoing.

There are also whispers this year’s cast will cause an unprecedented level of chaos, with some cast members even asked to leave the experiment.

The new season of MAFS will see the experts bring up a range of topics including racism, gaslighting, and narcissistic behaviour.

According to onset sources, one groom has already been labelled WORSE than last season’s villain Bryce Ruthven while another bride and groom accuse each other of ‘gaslighting each other’ and playing mind games.

Experts left gobsmacked

Controversial partner swapping challenge

While previous years have been controversial, the 2023 season features a ‘twisted’ challenge from the experts – encouraging the cast to swap partners.

As previously reported by Daily Mail Australia, an insider let slip: ‘They’ve really upped the ante this year. They made different couples swap partners for three days and it was hell for all involved.’

‘I don’t know if it was because there were too many couples in the end and they just wanted to test who was genuine or not, or they just wanted to shake things up.

‘Some participants refused to do it. They didn’t see the point of it and were like, “No way this would happen on the outside world.”‘

The insider claimed the partner-swapping task was given the green light by relationship experts John Aiken, Alessandra and Mel Schilling.

Participants had to live with another partner at Skye Suites, the Sydney apartment building where MAFS is filmed, for three days to test their chemistry ‘while doing their best to avoid temptation,’ added the source.

Another source has since claimed that the controversial task was introduced as a way for partners to get honest feedback about their relationships.
