New mum Mollie King took to Instagram on Sunday to describe her recent ‘highest of highs and lowest of lows’ in a candid post.

The Saturdays singer, 35, welcomed daughter Annabella in November just days before the tragic death of beloved dad Stephen.

Mollie shared a gushing tribute to be her doula pal Lauren who she thanked for her constant support.

The blonde beauty looked gorgeous as she cricketer fiancé Stuart Broad, 36, introduced the two month-old tot to her pal for the first time.

Mollie, whose father Stephen passed away just three months after being diagnosed with a tumour wrote: ‘Before I was pregnant I had no idea how much I didn’t know about having a baby’. 

‘We cannot thank this angel enough for her endless patience answering our million questions and all the time with a constant smile on her face’.

‘During my pregnancy I had the highest of highs carrying Annabella in my tummy but the lowest of lows with dad’s illness’. 

‘Lauren was a constant support throughout our journey’ before adding:  ‘Lauren, we couldn’t have done it without you’.

A doula is a trained companion, who is not a healthcare professional and who supports another individual through a significant health-related experience, such as childbirth. 

Last month Mollie  admitted she feared sitting down for Christmas lunch without her father.

The TV personality said she was grateful to her family and mum following the mixed emotions she had leading up to the festive season.

 ‘This year, more than ever, I’ve been so grateful to be surrounded by my family at Christmas time.

‘For me it’s been mixed emotions heading up to Christmas Day as I’ve feared all of us sitting down for lunch and having one chair less without our Pops at the table.

‘I know I’m not the only one who will be missing a loved one this Christmas and my heart goes out to anyone who’s also going through this.’ 

The pop star turned radio host added: ‘I’ve kept reminding myself how lucky I am to be surrounded by so many of the people I love and without a doubt the constant chatter from the little ones, seeing Annabella laugh for the first time, countryside walks and Home Alone on repeat made sure we all created more special memories, and most importantly, that my little girl’s Christmas was magical, just as it should be.

‘Thank you Mum for getting us all together. Sending so much love to anyone else going through this at this time.’

Mollie shared pictures of her mum and extended family enjoying a holiday get together as well as picture of herself and Stuart relaxing with Annabella and joined by their puppy Alf.

Following her father’s death, Mollie revealed he had held on ‘a few extra days’ so he could meet his new granddaughter.

Confirming his passing in November, she wrote: ‘Heartbroken beyond words. In August, my family’s world was shattered when my Dad was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Last week, we had to face the day we hoped would never come and say goodbye.

‘Dad, we love you with all our hearts and we will miss you every single day. You have been our hero and it’s impossible to think of our lives without you.

‘You have always been there for us with every step we’ve taken and you even held on a few extra days to meet baby Annabella.

‘You gave us your everything. You will be in our hearts and our memories every single day.’
