Princess Mary of Denmark has returned home to Australia with her family for the first time in five years.
The royal and her husband, Prince Frederik of Denmark, blended in with the locals during a shopping excursion in Sydney‘s beachside suburb of Bondi on Monday.
The 50-year-old was accompanied by the couple’s children Christian, 17, Isabella, 15, and twins Vincent and Josephine, 11, as well as her old friend Amber Petty.

Frederik, 54, and his wife both carefully guided their young children across a busy road, at times holding their hands or reaching out to slow them down.
Vincent popped into a local Orlebar Brown clothing boutique with his father, emerging carrying a paper shopping bag containing his latest purchase.
Mary was casually chic for the outing, donning a bright orange shirt that she wore knotted at the waist.

Partially unbuttoned, it revealed a black bodysuit underneath, and she added a pair of loose black slacks to the ensemble.
The Australian native also included a pair of light brown flat sandals as part of her look and wore designer sunglasses.
She had her hair pulled back off her face for the occasion, and appeared to have on minimal makeup.

A statement from the royal household read: ‘In December, the Crown Prince’s family will travel on a private Christmas holiday in Australia to celebrate the holiday with HRH the Crown Princess’s family.
‘It has been five years since the Crown Prince coupled together with their four children last visited the Crown Princess’s homeland.’

On Friday, Princess Mary visited Shell House, a historically significant palazzo-style building in Sydney.
She posted alongside security guard Mourad Ayat, who shared a photo of the pair together on Facebook.
The royal is understood to have dined at the establishment, which offers locally sourced produce.
