Rachel Weisz stuns in a bedazzled black suit as she arrives at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in New York City to promote Dead Ringers

Rachel Weisz stunned in New York City on Thursday when she arrived at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in a black suit covered in sparkly rhinestones.

The radiant Oscar Winner, 53 – who recently shined in a plunging midnight blue gown at Cannes – glowed in her chic design as she waved to fans outside the studio.

Weisz’s suit accentuated her fit frame with shoulder pads and she brought subtle pops of color to her look with blush lips and a crimson manicure.

The English beauty’s dark hair was styled down in lustrous waves and her glam highlighted the porcelain perfection of her skin.

Rachel is currently on a whirlwind press tour to promote her new miniseries Dead Ringers, which drops April 21 on Amazon Prime.

The six-episode miniseries is a gender-swapped adaptation of director David Cronenberg’s 1988 psychological thriller of the same name, which starred Jeremy Irons as twin gynecologists’ operating an infertility clinic.

Rachel’s Late Show arrival comes after she spoke about being ‘obsessed’ with the original movie and that it was she who brought the idea of a female-led remake to Amazon.

Amazon first announced the project in August 2020, giving it a straight-to-series order, with production beginning in August 2021.

Set in New York, Weisz plays both Elliot and Beverly Mantle, twins who share everything: drugs, lovers and an unapologetic desire to do whatever it takes.

They team up to push the boundaries of medical ethics in an effort to challenge antiquated practices and bring women’s health care to the forefront.

The key to the plot is the relationship between them, she explained to THR last month.

‘Beverly is altruistic, thoughtful, careful, and kind. She wants to change the way women give birth.

‘Elliot is very, very different. She’s not altruistic and she’s pushing the boundaries of what’s ethical.’

The Mummy star added: ‘It’s quite deliciously mischievous at times. Emotional. Moving. And there is some humor, also — darkly, darkly humorous.

‘It’s a very intense relationship. They love each other very deeply, but I think they kind of feel everything about each other very deeply, and that takes us to more of a dangerous co-dependent place.’

The original David Cronenberg film was adapted from the 1977 novel Twins by Bari Wood and Jack Geasland, which was loosely based on the true story of twin gynecologists Stewart and Cyril Marcus.

They were both found dead in July 1975 in separate rooms of Cyril’s Manhattan apartment at just 45 years of age, with Stewart dying of a barbiturate overdose and Cyril suspected of possibly taking his own life in a suicide pact after finding his brother dead.
