Jeff Stelling has now hinted the situation at Chelsea is in a really worrying state after what happened during last weekend’s Premier League game.
He told TalkSPORT that the fact the away fans at Brentford were chanting against the club owner suggests that there could be about to be big changes in West London.
Boehly was not in attendance for the Blues’ 2-2 draw away from home on Saturday, as he instead chose to spectate the opening Formula One grand prix of the season in Bahrain.
However, the travelling Chelsea fans were making their feelings known about the owner and the manager at the club right now.
The chants being projected seemed to hint that they were fed up of what was going on under Mauricio Pochettino in the first team right now.
Stelling has claimed that the fact they were making their feelings as clear as they were suggests that Boehly should perhaps start looking at his own actions so far as to why things are not going well.
Stelling on Boehly
He said: “As soon as fans start chanting against the owner, it means the manager is in big, big trouble. But the truth of the matter is Todd Boehly has to look at himself because the recruitment has been absolutely hopeless.”
