With Thomas Tuchel set to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season, there has been talk about a possible return to Chelsea.
Thomas Tuchel was dismissed by Chelsea in 2022, shortly after the club were taken over by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, but it has now been claimed that the 50-year-old would be interested in going back to Stamford Bridge if the opportunity presented itself.
Fabrizio Romano has told CaughtOffside, though, that a Tuchel return will not be easy based on how things ended between the German and the Blues.
Mauricio Pochettino is, of course, still also in the dugout. An FA Cup win and strong finish in the league may convince the club’s owners to keep hold of him.
One of Chelsea’s Premier League rivals are said to have a long-standing interest in Tuchel.

Thomas Tuchel return to Chelsea not easy
Romano has a warning for any Chelsea supporter hoping to see Tuchel return to Stamford Bridge.
On the former Paris Saint-Germain boss, the Italian journalist said: “We know Tuchel will be looking for a new club, but for now I have nothing concrete on a move back to Chelsea.
“I haven’t heard anything about this and don’t like to guess too much, but what I can say is that for sure it was not an ‘easy’ separation between Tuchel and Chelsea when he left in 2022. So it seems like coming back would also not be easy.”

Chelsea should consider Thomas Tuchel
If Chelsea do go on to get rid of Pochettino, then they would be silly not to consider Tuchel as a replacement for the Argentine.
Tuchel is one of the best managers in the world, winning the Champions League with Chelsea a few years ago, and knows the Premier League.
He is going to be available as well, so bringing him in really is a no-brainer.
Again, though, there are a lot of ifs right now. Pochettino could very well still be Chelsea boss come the start of next season. The club’s owners are showing him a lot of patience.
