Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic has now shared what he noticed about his side’s supporters at Wembley yesterday.
He told the club website that he was really impressed with the atmosphere the usual Stamford Bridge faithful brought across the capital, although they were not able to give them a victory.
Petrovic was one of Chelsea’s best players yesterday, however was unable to deny Virgil van Dijk late in the piece.
It was another chance for Mauricio Pochettino to break his trophy duck in England. Instead, many were disappointed with how his side withered away in extra-time.
Petrovic has claimed that while they were unable to get the victory, he was still very impressed with what the Chelsea fans at Wembley brought.
He said: “The feeling is very painful. It was a first final for a lot of us, also here at Wembley. The atmosphere was amazing and we really felt the Chelsea supporters with us.

“We must use this feeling because this is a new generation and we want to keep the success of this club.

“We are not happy and it hurts. We left everything on the pitch. The team put in a lot of effort and we had a lot of opportunities, we hit the post, and we had chances to maybe kill the game but we couldn’t do it.
“Then we concede the very goal late and that one detail changes everything as we don’t have time to stop them lifting the trophy. Now we have to get our heads up and think about Wednesday against Leeds as that is an important game for us in the FA Cup.”
Even though Robert Sanchez was seen back in the squad yesterday, there is no chance Petrovic should see himself dropped in the coming games.
